Month of Sundays

- What to do this October

London-LeavesYou’re so busy tracking Junior’s development month by month, you haven’t pencilled in any plans for your own social calendar. Don’t let the month of October roll on without taking note of some of the fabulous family-friendly affairs we’ve found for you.

Take note

Start tomorrow off on a good footing, with the fantastic Children’s Party at soft-play Gambado, all in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. With s special pre-schooler’s party in the morning, and an afternoon tea from 4pm, this is one time you really can have your cake and eat it.

Someone of Note

For an utterly amazing time, join Clarice Bean and Lauren Child at the V & A this Sunday for an awesome adventure through the V&A.

Make a Mental Note

On 10 and 11 October, take the tot to the family open weekend at the Museum of Transport’s Depot in Acton for action-packed transport tales and railway rhymes.

Swap Notes

With One Little Word, thespians can head to the Lyric in W6 or the Arts Depot in N12 to enjoy this tale of two friends who both want to be captain of the ship. Sounds familiar.

With choices like this, you may be wishing for a month of Sundays.

What Mini says:

There’s no question that my mummy’s my flavour of the month, month after month.

Games on the Green

MumstheBlog have put together this lovely list of games to play outdoors. We’re sure you don’t need any inspiration to be outside! But it would be nice to involve Junior in a little game or two so you can get on with that all-important day-dreaming!

Summertime

London-Mums_Baby-Bib- Ideas for a Summer’s day in London

Summertime. And the livin’, they say, is easy. Well, maybe not that easy in a post-Crunch, pre-green shoot London.

In an economy like this, the fish aren’t the only things that are jumpin’. My mummy’s nerves are all over the place …

It’s all good and well if your daddy’s rich (now that would be telling …), but unless he’s a Goldman’s man, you may want to check out some of the free events listed in our August Calendar. Like meeting the Little Princess this Tuesday, or heading to the V&A Museum of Childhood on a Friday afternoon for a fabulous line-up of activities: from Circus, Circus to Smoke & Mirrors, it seems they’ve got the City worked out. (Click here to see our August listing.)

And the cotton (well, maize actually) is high at Willows Farm. (But if that’s too far for you, try one of the city farms closer to your square mile.)

Sounds perfect for you and your good lookin’ mamma.

What Moi says:

And if it continues to be rainy, we can always spend the morning at a soft play area. So hush little baby, don’t you cry.
